AWARD CERTIFICATES

A range of award certificates are displayed, which were presented to the Common as part of a Conservation or Biodiversity interest. The 1996 SSSI award to BCMG was the first ever given to a Norfolk SSSI. From 2005 until 2012 ‘Sheringham in Bloom’ included the Commons as part of their presentation covering the community and the environment. Since 2012 SiB has not participated in ‘Anglia in Bloom’ or the National Scheme. During its participation the group achieved ‘Silver Gilt’ status a number of times.
